India vs England predictions: Adelaide helps give India the edge
The rankings have India and England as the best two T20 teams in the world, and Thursday's semi-final match-up promises to be a thriller.
India go into this match as favourites after topping Group 2 in the Super 12s stage and have the tournament's leading run-scorer in Virat Kohli.
England, though, have shown before that they are capable of beating any international team on their day, as they looking to add the T20 world title to the ODI crown that they currently hold.
Team News
India were hit by a fitness concern on Tuesday when captain Rohit Sharma was forced to leave a nets session after being struck on the forearm.
He returned an hour later, after treatment and the use of an ice pack, with the 35-year-old expected to be named in the starting line-up.
The Indian selectors have another batting dilemma to deal with, in what looks like a straight choice between Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant.
England are also facing injury issues, with doubts over both Mark Wood and Dawid Malan ahead of Thursday's clash at the Adelaide Oval.
Wood was forced to pull out of training on Tuesday, with England saying the Durham paceman was struggling with general body stiffness.
Meanwhile, Malan suffered a groin injury whilst fielding in the crucial win over Sri Lanka and did not bat in England's successful run chase.
The Yorkshire batter is believed to be optimistic that he will play, but Phil Salt is likely to replace him if Malan is unable to prove his fitness to the England medical team.

These two teams have met on 22 previous occasions, and India have a slight advantage, winning 12 to England's 10.
On this year's form, though, it is India who have been more impressive. Rohit's men have won 27 of their 37 T20 internationals in 2022, compared to England's 13 wins in 25 T20 matches.
In terms of their tournament form, India have been more impressive with the bat. In Virat Kohli, they have the top run-scorer in the competition, with the former skipper having smashed 246 to date.
Kohli's team-mate Suryakumar Yadav, who made an unbeaten 61 against Zimbabwe, sits third in the 'most runs' charts with 225.
England, though, have the edge with the ball, with Sam Curran holding the best bowling figures so far with 5-10 against Afghanistan. To add to that, Moeen Ali is second in the economy-rate standings.
Predictions
There is so little separating these two teams that it is hard to select a winner, highlighted by the odds with India 4/5 and England available at 10/11 with LiveScore Bet.
The fact, though, that India have already played at the Adelaide Oval in this tournament, and England have not, should give them a slight edge.
The better value on offer is in the player markets and especially the batting options.
Virat Kohli has been a class apart in this tournament so far, and he is 5/2 with LiveScore Bet to score another half-century in Thursday's semi-final.
Even better value, though, is Alex Hales to be England's top batter at 7/2 with LiveScore Bet. The opener has 125 runs to his name in just four innings and has a good record against India and on Australian pitches.
Hales has smashed 245 runs in his previous nine T20 matches against India, with an average of 30.62, while the Nottinghamshire star has a strike rate of 136.89 on Australia wickets.
