Cummins blasts KKR to win over Indians with record-equalling 14-ball half-century
Pat Cummins blasted an astonishing record-equalling half-century to secure a five-wicket Indian Premier League win for Kolkata Knight Riders over Mumbai Indians.
The Indians posted 161-4 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, Suryakumar Yadav top scoring with 52 off 36 balls with support from Tilak Varma (38 not out) and Kieron Pollard (22no).
Mumbai looked to be on course for their first win of the tournament when KKR were 101-5 in the 14th over, but Australia Test captain Cummins had other ideas.
The paceman matched KL Rahul's record for the fastest IPL half-century from 14 balls and put the Knight Riders top by hitting Daniel Sams for six to seal victory with four overs to spare, Venkatesh Iyer also playing a big hand with an unbeaten 50.

A stand of 83 between Suryakumar - who was in great touch on his return from injury - and Varma was much needed and Pollard struck 22 off five balls in a final over from Cummins, clearing the rope three times.
Tymal Mills got rid of Ajinkya Rahane early in the run chase and Shreyas Iyer fell to Sams, while Sam Billings, Nitish Rana and Andre Russell also failed to hang around.
Venkatesh Iyer was not in full flow, but ticked along to keep the game in the balance before Cummins arrived to make a stunning impact.
The paceman set about Mills and Jasprit Bumrah before inflicting the most brutal punishment on compatriot Sams, taking 35 off the 16th over to end the game in a flash and send his side to the summit with three wins from four games.
Suryakumar straight in the groove
India batter Suryakumar had been sidelined for over a month due to a wrist injury, but there were no signs of rust on his return.
The right-hander arrived at the crease in the eighth over with Mumbai 45-2 and provided the impetus Mumbai needed, hitting two sixes and five fours.
Pollard's powerful last-over striking then ended the Indians' innings on a high note after Suryakumar was dismissed by Cummins.
Cummins shows all-round brilliance
The outstanding Cummins took the game away from Mumbai with some staggering clean striking, finishing with 56 not out from 15 balls.
He hit six sixes and another four boundaries, leaving the Indians shell-shocked after a tense finish looked to be on the cards.
What proved to be the final over of the match from Sams went for four sixes and two fours, leaving Mumbai without a point from three games. Cummins' strike rate of 373.3 was the highest in IPL history by any batter to have faced at least 10 balls,
